Oma Sonia (1920 - 2018) was a Jewish Holocaust survivor who experienced Krystallnacht and the Nazi occupation of Warsaw. She escaped from Poland to the USA as a refugee in 1940. Sonia later became a prolific artist. She gave many of her paintings away, and began printing annual calendars with her favorite artwork, for friends and family. Painting in the primitive style of Grandma Moses, Sonia soon became known as "Oma Sonia" as she painted landscapes, as well as evocative portraits, and colorful flowers. Today, we offer color prints of Oma Sonia art on canvas, or as crafted into unique collectible gifts. Thank you for your interest.
