Oma Sonia (1920-2018) was a survivor of the Holocaust - experiencing Krystallnacht, and the Nazi bombing and occupation of Warsaw. She came to the USA in 1940, and her "art therapy" was to create brilliant flowers, calming portraits, and colorful landscapes that helped her escape traumatic memories.
