Oma Sonia (1920-2024) was a Holocaust survivor who came to the USA in 1940 during World War II. She became an artist in the primitive folk style similar to "Grandma Moses" - and so she became known as "Oma Sonia" (Oma means grandma in German, her native language). Oma painted colorful country landscapes, evocative portraits, and brilliant florals.
